The new 2009 Scirocco will be made in Portugal, but it is still up in the air if the hot hatch will be released in the U.S. because of the presence of the GTi and the R32. What are we to do? I say we revolt against the VW CEO and petition to have this sacred car back in our pressence again. These new 2009 models will feature 200HP 2.0L engines.
The Scirocco first started in the mid 1970's and ended in the early 90's. This car offered stylish body lines to great responsive engine packages. The fact that we might not get this car will be truly upsetting.
But it is confirmed that a demonstration 2009 Scirocco will be made with 300HP and will be driven by a former WRC and Le Mans winning drivers. This will be done exclusively at the Nurburgring track
