1968 Mercedez-Benz 300SEL 6.3
Designed by Paul Bracq, this Mercedes was the replacement for the higher end "fintail" designs.
What started off as a private venture by Erich Waxenberger, this car quickly became the world's first Super Saloon car.
By removing the engine from a Mercedez-Benz 600 and placing it into the S-Class model, a car was created that could challenge a Porsche 911.
With an air suspension and a 4-wheel ventilated disc brake system, this car was definitely ahead of its time.
