Purest Perfection Series : BBS RS Wheels.

The Purest Perfection Series is the brainchild of yours truly, The Johnster. What I attempt at doing is to document the automotive things that really turn me on. The things that make me think of how awesome the car world is. It mostly includes things that makes me lose all bodily control/function. The things that cause a sudden rush of blood flow to the most erogenous part of my body, my brain.

BBS RS wheels have always been a favorite for me. Wide widths and super low offsets, drive me crazy. Almost like a little school girl getting her first dress, or maybe like a debutante going to her first prom. These wheels make me realize that there are true perfect things in this world, and for me it comes in the shape of a wheel.

Rooted in racing, the BBS RS compliments any German made car or any race car of any kind.

My two favorite pairings of car and BBS RS wheels is the Texaco Ford Sierra Cosworth Race Car

The next favorite is the Warsteiner DTM BMW E30 M3 Race Car

My love for this wheel is true and forever.

Today Scion is announcing they will be in production for the new Scion xD RS 1.0. The car is relatively cheap, starting at roughly $14,550 but don't let the price get ya, only 2000 of these cars will be available in the United States.

Marketing for the RS xD is underway and don't think Scion is going to go frugal in spending for this campaign titled, "HOT LAVA." "Versace x Lambo"

VLambo_01

The Last time these two fashionable powerhouses teamed up was back around 2006 during Milan's fashion week. During then, they released a small run of ten Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 coupes as well as an additional black version for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The black Lambo sold for a cool half-million. Anyways, Lamborghini has yet again teamed up with the fashion house of Versace to offer another special edition of Lamborghini's Murcielago LP640. But now Lamborghini is offering the Versace edition LP640 Roadster to the general public, at least the general public that has the buku bucks to put down on one of these pantie droppers.

I'm not quit sure on how many of these MILF traps will be made. I do guarantee that they'll be as limited and hard to get as a Supreme box tee at Supreme.

The overall specifications of the exclusive Versace LP640 is the same as any other normal LP640. The Versace edition is more about style than substance. The little shetland's milky-white exterior is adorned with Versace's Greek motif. The interior is laced with special full-grain, hand-embroidered, baby-ass soft, white leather throughout the seats, dashboard and center console. This exclusive edition also gets a transparent engine cover that showcases the V12 for the first time. I do believe that along with the car the lucky purchaser will receive special Lamborghini x Versace merchandise, including leather luggage, gloves, driving shoes and an assortment of other expensive knickknacks.

Check out the goodies below...Peace.

Not Quite Mr. Philthy's Boner Jams but a Good Collection of Weird Stuff

Today, for my fans, I have a few various pictures for your enjoyment, not just all accidents, but definitely some strange stuff.

I gotta admit, that is one well built fence...

Yikes, least someone can reuse that exhaust and put it on their Ford Probe...

I would have loved it if the guy who crashed the car got messed up falling out of the top car trying to get out.

damn european drivers...

24's are out, tank conversions are unanimously in!

How much money do you have to have to get Ferrari to haul your family in this much style?

I guarantee you that an Asian guy does NOT own this car!

One word, GAY!

I want this! Today!

You know some chick was driving this thing.

High Tech Parking Solutions

With the decreasing space we have with the current world state, humans have been busy inventing new ways to store or precious cars. YAY! We all want to live in a good place, and usually good places have limited space for parking. But now many people across the globe have come up with some inventive ways to park our cars.

I would never succumb to car pooling or buying a smaller car. I just love cars, and of course I need a place to put them.

I can probably get one of these hydraulic "stacker" lifts for my house. But I want to weight out my options, so lets see what other people around the globe are doing!

VW in Wolfsburg, Germany has developed a car retrieval system for new owners of VW. In essence these machines are oversized material handling machines that are used to package your diapers or process those special DVD's that you buy late at night.

Here is another application of the German ingenuity of parking vehicles.

Step1
Lure the vehicle and owner into a room with strange instruments like an over head shower. Please tell occupants to remain calm and be patient.

Step 2

Wait for a wicked laugh and gun shots. Maybe expect to see Lo-Pan arise from the ground crossing his pinky nails in a cross. Watch as the secret trap door is opened into the dungeon of 1000's corpses. Or maybe an underground parking lot.

Step 3

As you enter the sweltering heat beneath the ground, just wait for an array of chains and machinery to thrash you, into your designated space.

Step 4

Wait in your personal cage until summoned! Muahahhahahahhahaha.

TIME TO STEAL GAS!

Orange County is known for top television sitcoms such as "The OC," "Laguna beach," etc. The Orange County in Florida has beat us out. With a news story as scandalous as Pamela Anderson's life story.

In Orlando, Florida a gentleman decided to say, "Screw paying $4 a gallon for gasoline, I'm just gonna steal it," and did so with a meticulously plotted 800 gallon gas tank retrofitted to his Ford truck. His intent was to steal as much Petrol as possible. He is also being investigated for being part of this huge gas stealing scandal that has been going around as of late due to the high prices of gas lately. Not only that, he also possessed a key of some sort that disables gas pumps so that he could garner more petrol while patrons were pumping gas! This guy is a "certified" genius.

This guy was doing fine, up until a clerk at a gas station noticed that this dude took way longer than most gasoline pumpers. The attendant called local police and boom he got caught. It was mentioned that in a half hour of "pumping" this man can ecru up to $3,500. What an amazing hourly rate! That's almost comparable to Warren Buffet's pay right?

" Probing 21 Models..."

Yeah, that's right. Twenty-one models manufactured by General Motors.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration better known as the NHTSA has intensified their investigation on twenty-one models of truck and sport utility vehicles manufactured by the great folks at General Motors between 2006 and 2008 which equates to approximately 2.7 million vehicles. The investigation was prompted because of the possibility of an engine compartment fire. But here's the kicker; the fire can erupt inside the engine compartment, even if the ignition is turned off...nice one GM.

Apparently there have been about forty-one engine compartment fires not caused by a traffic accident or crash involving GM vehicles, prior to the prompted investigation. Investigators are examining the electrical system, engine and engine cooling system; battery cables; under-hood wiring, fuses and circuit breakers to find the possible culprit of the said fires. The probing and examining of the the twenty-one GM models (which are listed below) may, and most likely result in a massive recall of millions of vehicles. So if you own one or several of the vehicles manufactured by General Motors on the list, please contact your local GM dealership or just not leave you vehicle on or off. Kudos GM!!

• 2007 & 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV & EXT

Dielsels are back! And I'm not talking about a bad pair of jeans!

So check it out, you're in the market for something nice right? You just got a decent paying job out of high school and you think that you've "grown" past compact autos right?

Okay fine, but what luxury vehicle can offer the gas mileage and the comfort that your newly working ass deserves?

Well search no longer, the 2008 Mercedes-Benz E320 Bluetec is your answer!

3.2L V-6 Turbocharged! Off to a good start!

Now the 208 horsepower is hardly going to impress anyone, considering certain Honda/Acura's can produce that easily. But what can you say about the 400-lb-ft of torque that is produced between 1600-2400 RPM? Hardly a Honda that can produce those kind of numbers!

Not too mention the fact that it gets an EPA fuel rating of 23/32MPG! Other independent reviews have confirmed that this big Blue has achieved 34MPG on mixed driving!

Now it costs a bit more, about a grand more, and the savings in gas compared to the standard E350 may only be about $2000 in 4 years of ownership, but its not just about price is it?

Well this car also leaves a very eco-friendly foot print! Putting out 97% lower emissions than the previous diesel models, this model is a role model! Not to mention the new urea based exhaust system which was necessary to make it legal in California! Which seems a bit strange considering that you have to fill your urea tank once every 15,000 miles but hey, its worth it for the environment right? So don't forget that this takes diesel and urea and you should be good to go!

Purest Perfection Series : Toyota 2000GT

I am a total Toyota fanatic. There is something so lovely about a car company that makes reliable and awesome cars at fantastic prices. Toyota to me reminds me of my own pragmatic self, a person that wants a quality product for life.

To me my unicorn will forever by the Toyota 2000GT, this is also the unicorn to many other car collectors around the world as well. This car has fluctuating values from $250K-$1 Million dolllars. This is due to the rarity of this vehicle, 60 of 351 were officially exported to the United States from 1967-1970. The initial cost of this vehicle was $6800, a little more than Porsche and Jaguar sports coupes of that time. Certainly this was a serious sports coupe!

This car was one of the first production cars to have Dual Over Head Cams, 4 wheels disc brakes, and standard limited slip differentials. It was very much a race car as a luxury saloon for its time. Because of its fantastic technical advantage it won the 24-Hour Fuji Race and was raced by Carol Shelby to set some SCCA records.

Toyota North America Headquarters has access to three of these cars in their museum, everytime I see these cars I want to do one of three things. Wet myself, scream in pain, or steal it. Luckily I have not done any of these. The car is smallish car, even smaller than a Datsun 240Z. The line on the car are very beautiful and fool the eye. At first it looks like the car is very rounded like a Jaguar E-Type, but on further investigation the rounded sections flare up to points giving a sleek look.

I just want to cry, really. Somehow and someway I will at least drive one of these cars in my life.

PORSCHE PHONE?

This right here is the first look at the Porsche P'9521 Phone. This baby is made out of solid aluminum to mask their own sleek vehicles. It has double hinges which allows this phone to spin 180 degrees for the camera feature. The digital camera aspect of the phone is at a standard 3.2 megapixel format. The sweet part about this phone is that it only responds with a "fingerprint" access. Talk about state-of-the-art. EDGE technology is implemented for high speed internet access and a MP3 player for all of your T-Pain tunes.

The Porsche phone is available at any Porsche Design retail store. ONLY IN INDIA! Arghhhh. If you ever get your hand one these. Buy two. And sell one on Ebay. IE: Free phone for you!

"Fastback Ralliart Fastback"

MS_LancerSB_01

I bring you another announcement hot off the presses. Mitsubishi, just today, has announced that they will be unveiling the production versions of their Lancer Sportback and Lancer Sportback Ralliart at the Paris Motor Show early in October of this year.

The Lancer Sportback will be a five-door hatchback version of the (very) recently redesigned Lancer model that all, if not many of us, are familiar with. The Sportback slated to be run by a 1.5L or 1.8L four-cylinder, or a 2.0L turbo diesel. The Sportback Ralliart will be powered by a newly featured turbocharged 2.0L MIVEC engine, which boasts a said 237 Clydesdales and about 253 foot-pounds of torque. Relliart models will also feature Mitsubishi's Twin-Clutch SST transmission and an Active Center Differential, which will be responsible for sending the 253 foot-pounds of torque to the wheels able to utilize it. Take not. That the Ralliart slated to debut in Paris is slightly larger than the one many of us saw at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.

Mitsubishi’s new models will more than likely be sold in The States. The few specifications I mention in the previous paragraph are for Lancer Sporbacks and Sportback Ralliarts that are to be sold in the European markets. Specifications on how the cars will be in the U.S. are still unclear. For those anxious in copping one of these vehicles, Mitsubishi has set a general timeframe to be after the initial introduction of the Evo X…which I believe is here…I don’t know, maybe we’ll see them midway of next year.

The Mr. Philthy Experience

So Mr. Philthy went ahead this week and did some experiments for our crazy audience.

Gas myths, heard them all, right? I think at one point we even posted some right? Well one by one I decided that some of these rumors need some dispelling. Now this was not done in an extremely scientific fashion but I tried to control it as best as I could and be consistent.

First off, Keep your car tuned!
Recently my car started getting some bad gas mileage. I have a turbo Civic EP3 and was getting about 300 miles per tank, not bad for your average turbo'd Civic right? Well I average about 12 gallons a tank so I get about 25 miles per gallon.

Well slowly I began to see my gas mileage deteriorate. My finally tank was 245 miles, 12 gallons, average of 20 miles per gallon. Well I lost 5 miles per gallon! So I began thinking and concluded that I haven't changed my plugs or my air filter in awhile, and after I did, VOILA! Back to my normal mileage.

So lesson #1, a well tuned car sips gas, instead of chugging it.

My second experiment I was able to do was the air conditioning test vs. windows down. I tested multiple tanks of gas and concluded... there is no real difference. I didn't lose any mileage at all. I ran 4 tanks of gas under this test and my two runs with AC concluded 296 and 305 miles per tank and with the windows down 303 and 310. All with anywhere between 11.5-12 gallons when pumped.

Now I know these tests are conclusive and would not stand up to any sort of real scientific tests, but hey its my short answer and I figure my readers might enjoy it.

So in conclusion, tune your car well, and drive comfortable with the AC going!

-Mister Philthy

More tests to come!

International Drifting : Arabic Motorsports

I love Youtube, I'm actually addicted to it. I'm also addicted to cars, obviously this led me into watching countless videos of car footage. After looking through hundreds of Australian, European, and Russian drifitng videos, I stumbled across one called "Erhabe."

"Erhabe" had other tags such as "Iraqi," "Saudi," and also to my liking "Drift." What I saw was truly amazing and very scary. These arabs were speeding down highways at 80+ MPH drifting in between cars and their grand finale was a 720 spin driving off. Essentially they were doing dori dori technique of drifting between cars and semi-trucks. I was amazed at their skill and at their death wish. In these videos you will see spectators occasionally hit as well, because of the lack of guard rails in these Arab states.

The most impressive thing about these Saudi and Iraqi drifters is that unlike "traditional" drifters that have MONSTER Horspower derived from Godzilla, these Arabs drift with the US equivalents of Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sedans. Yes, front wheel drifting! Its very interesting to study their technique, they are carrying a lot of speed before they rock their car into drifting. From some of the interior video clips they hardly use the e-brake to lose traction. That must mean they are either carrying great speed. The roads over there must also be very dusty, thus reducing the coefficient of friction as well.

Nonetheless, its very impressive and very dangerous. I wonder what these guys would be capable of with legit racecars and tracks!

A story about Jim and his Scion xB

I'm a proud owner of my 2006 Scion xB. And I am always interested in hearing or reading stories on xB owners and how this one vehicle changed their lives.

For instance, I came across an article about a man named Jim and how his newly purchased 2005 Scion xB is saving him roughly about $350 a month! If my math is still stable, that's almost about $4,000 a month!

You see, Jim used to own a 1991 Chevrolet AstroVan (my uncle used to own one too, I wish I had it just to have as my part van, bangbus style) and with today's gas prices he would pay an extravagant amount at the pump and get only 11 miles a gallon. Jim here is a handyman and would have to travel long and far for his clients. With the xB's spacious trunk area and foldable back seats, he can fit all five of his toolboxes without worry. ''For somebody who drives a lot, like me, it pays,'' Jim Lettich says. ''I call it my free car.''

Consumers all across the board are choosing fuel efficient vehicles more than ever. My buddy just purchased a Hybrid and cannot stop raving about it. Everytime I see him he is just bragging up a storm and on how he is saving so much money that now he can actually buy real food rather than Cup-of-Noodles everyday. This type of investment can pay out heavily and can save you money on a daily basis.

Nationally last month, Ford F-series lost to smaller gas efficient cars such as the xB and Corollas. General Manager John Grello, a car salesman in the city of Allenstown states saying, ''I'm selling more of the fuel efficient vehicles more than any other model,'' he said. It has gotten so crazy for him he even has the Toyota Corollas on a waiting list! Experts all around expect that the days for SUV's and trucks are coming to a near end and that the smaller economy cars and xB's especially will be the vehicle of choice for all consumers because of its great mileage.

Jim Lettich's 2005 Scion xB! His savior!
