Ever remember a car that you just love?
Something about it that you can't shake and it doesn't matter how crappy it really was?
Well many of us are in love with a particular J body Chrysler that many seem to despise.
It came out in 1987. Offered in coupe and convertible.
The convertible version was obviously geared to the pseudo-cool guy crowd.
There were also many other cars that shared similar bodies, but I am not fond of any of them but this one.
The Spirit? The Acclaim? Nah, just the Le Baron.
Offered for over 6 years, this masterpiece hailed the smooth lines of amazing convertible of yore.
With engines ranging from 2.2L TURBO to 2.5L TURBO and N/A.
The 1994 model is not the one I am talking about, redesigned. In 1994 this beautiful car lost much of its prestige, in my eyes.
Ranging from 100HP models to 174HP this baby moved. Though many of the great technical upgrades such as ABS and four wheel disc were not offered in the American market.
People were so proud of this car they took pictures with it!
And apparently, people race them!!!! Maybe my next project car should be a LeBaron Turbo GTC!
