THE ZASTAVA YUGO!
This hunk of shit has not one redeeming quality! Made for 10 years between 1981-1991, this car was the symbol for guys that DON'T get laid. These cars had problems! From the engine to the upholstery, this car was an immense failure.

FORD PINTO
Sometimes I can't believe that they would have made this car as long as they did, 1971-1980. The moniker, Pinto, seemed like a loosing choice from day one. Yes they sold well, but they also exploded in rear end collisions. And lets not forget about the nearly $50 million they had to pay for all the deaths attributed to those lovely gas tanks.



The 1981 Cadillac Fleetwood V8-6-4
Cylinder deactivation or variable displacement. Whatever you want to call it, its pretty cool. From Honda to Mercedes Benz, they have it now. But in 1981 Cadillac tried and failed. Yes I have to give them credit for trying, but the system just didn't work. It choked and stalled worse than my last date. I'm sure Cadillac had to pay tons of money for the warranty bills on that heap of shit.



The Ford Explorer, aka The Mom Bomb
One of the best selling cars in the United States. Soccer Moms everywhere loved to sit up high and trade in their minivans for the younger feeling Explorer. Go anywhere you want right? You can even rollover into a ditch if you like. Firestone has to harbor some blame, but the majority of the problems seemed to stem from Ford's profit increasing measures. After the whole rollover fiasco, it seems that "rollover" is a term that has sashayed its way into automotive terminology. Rollover no longer means rolling over your baby in bed while you sleep!



HYUNDAI EXCEL
From 1985-1994 these cars were failing everywhere. Sadly enough, I had to include my Korean brothers into this list. This car had so many damn problems that Hyundai is still trying to recover from the stain that it made on the reputation. Yes again, this car sold well, and it was featured in Boyz n the Hood, but lets face it, it sucked.
