We are the world, we are the children...

It's really interesting the collaborative efforts that are involved between companies in different industries. What's often referred to as "networking", I like to think of as mere "support" between friends. If you've browsed TheTunerSource Blog and Myspace page, you've noticed that we have a lot of banners, shout outs, or make references to different companies that sometimes have nothing to do with the automotive industry. Is it 'cause they've paid for the advertisements? No. Is it a "I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine" exchange? Hardly. When dealing with friends, there's an intrinsic fulfillment just to help your friends. There's no quid pro quo or indian giving involved...just the simple desideration to help your friends get their name out as well.

I thought I'd bring up this point just to illustrate the importance of networking and the amazing things that can come from just meeting and getting to know people, pertaining to business and just life in general. For example, you might've seen a few references TheTunerSource.com has made about model Lisa Fleming. We've known Lisa from about the time of inception of TheTunerSource.com and she became a good friend of our's. When the time arose, she graciously helped us with our advertisement pieces by doing our photoshoot.

When TheTunerSource.com launches, we hope that it'll provide a medium for you all to meet and connect with different car enthusiasts to some extent. The site will be very easy to use so connecting with others will be easy as well. I don't know about you but when I find a site that connects me to others with common interests and/or a site that lets me sell and buy stuff, I become a little neurotic about the site and find myself using it a little too obsessively at times :) Although this might be the case for TheTunerSource.com, we hope that you will not only find the site extremely useful but also just as important, a fun experience. Who knows what will develop from your time on the site...I'm waiting to see myself!
