This past weekend was the 7th Annual DUB Magazine Custom Auto Show in Los Angeles at the LA Convention Center. Aside from displaying some of the most beautiful automobiles on earth, the show was a festive homage to car enthusiasts of all ages, race, and gender. If you've been keeping your ears to the streets, you know that this show is highly anticipated every year and 2007 was no different as the show has been sold out for weeks. Different radio stations (KIIS-FM, Power 106, etc.) gave away tickets and were all on hand at the show.
We at TheTunerSource.com were on assignment/recreational visit at the DUB Custom Auto Show and here's a little recap of the event. Before even stepping into the Convention Center, there was a buzz of hundreds and hundreds of people in line outside with people in their custom cars revving and showing off on the streets. Almost everyone was there to see the array of cars, some for the women, and many for the performances. Scheduled to be on hand were Ludacris, Bone Thugs 'N Harmony, and Jim Jones (ballinnnnnnn!) and also there were celebrities who were known for their enthusiasm in cars, such as Arizona Cardinals' quarterback Matt Leinart, model Vida Guerra, and co-star of the new Kim Kardashian sex tape, Ray J. Aside from celebrities and artists, there were a breathtaking display of cars, notably the type of cars that'd cost a house, a year's salary, and probably my life...COMBINED! TheTunerSource.com was there with our mascot-turned-mini-celebrity who you will see in future photos that we took at the show (here's a hint to his identity: he's very
spycey). Everywhere you turned, you saw dream cars: Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, with even "common" cars that were customized to a beaut. Want more? 2 or 3 of these cars combined in price will probably equal to an Enzo Ferrari, Mercedes SLR McLaren, or the US debuted Alpine Imprint RLS, which were all on hand at the show. Whatever the reason for being there, peoples' eyes were spoiled by the magnificence of technical, artistic, and mechanical workmanship through cars.
Stay tuned all week as we'll be providing different recollections of the weekend's events and also have a plethora of photos...and also, we'll be introducing you to a person that will be synonymous with TheTunerSource.com blogs ;)
