For those that are serious about racing cars and custom applications people rely on John from Hytech Exhaust. He makes a custom exhuast for pro racers for Toyota Formula Atlantic and NASCAR. I guess it must be nice to be spec'd in Formula Altantic making 200 headers a season at $1500 a pop.
These headers are designed with the patented Anti-Reversion stepped design patent number 6,336,471. The secondary waves that are emitted by the header are designed to pull the residual gases out of the exhuast system. Think about the Helmholtz Theory. In essence this header design incorporated design features to make you more power.
So if you need a custom application for any car you should go to Hytech. Stephan Papadakis did years ago and now he runs 1/4 miles in 7 Seconds. Impressive
