The Lexus IS-F will be available in 2008. The Japanese answer to the BMW M3 and Audi RS4, boasting 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque from a 5.0 liter engine. This will give a 0-60 performance of 4.9 second. This will most likely come from the UZ engine series, which is similar to the V8's used in the GS430 and LS430. Toyota most likely have revised the head to a "G" designation giving it a performance code.
Standard equipment on this car will be an 8 speed transmission with paddle shifting, 6 piston Brembo brake calipers, 19 inch alloy BBS wheels, and a sport suspension to make everything balanced. This is all wrapped up with quad exhaust tips to give a mean look.
That means that the Japanese will be offering stiff competition compared to their Axis Power brethren.
