I am a total Toyota fanatic. There is something so lovely about a car company that makes reliable and awesome cars at fantastic prices. Toyota to me reminds me of my own pragmatic self, a person that wants a quality product for life.
To me my unicorn will forever by the Toyota 2000GT, this is also the unicorn to many other car collectors around the world as well. This car has fluctuating values from $250K-$1 Million dolllars. This is due to the rarity of this vehicle, 60 of 351 were officially exported to the United States from 1967-1970. The initial cost of this vehicle was $6800, a little more than Porsche and Jaguar sports coupes of that time. Certainly this was a serious sports coupe!
This car was one of the first production cars to have Dual Over Head Cams, 4 wheels disc brakes, and standard limited slip differentials. It was very much a race car as a luxury saloon for its time. Because of its fantastic technical advantage it won the 24-Hour Fuji Race and was raced by Carol Shelby to set some SCCA records.

Toyota North America Headquarters has access to three of these cars in their museum, everytime I see these cars I want to do one of three things. Wet myself, scream in pain, or steal it. Luckily I have not done any of these. The car is smallish car, even smaller than a Datsun 240Z. The line on the car are very beautiful and fool the eye. At first it looks like the car is very rounded like a Jaguar E-Type, but on further investigation the rounded sections flare up to points giving a sleek look.

I just want to cry, really. Somehow and someway I will at least drive one of these cars in my life.
